DO NOT PUT YOUR FULL NAME!!

Its fantastic to see the number of you who are visiting the science site these days. The science staff are really happy that you make use of this site and its links to the left. BUT, you must not put your full name. Simply put john 9b, that's enough. Remember we need to stay safe and to do that we need to stay a little bit anonymous. So first names only please. Happy posting.

  2. We are trying to show you how to protect yourself when you participate in online discussion and chat. The main section of this site is a blog and could by a round about way be view by someone outside the Patana community. As much as we prize your active participation in the discussions and comments on this site, we prize your safety even more. There are unfortunately people out there who would seek to take advantage if they could. Ask yourself this, when have you ever seen a photograph of a student on the Patana Site that has the students full name...never..its school policy. Take care out there in cyberland!!

  3. then whats the point when you go onto the homework database you can see the teachers picture and full name???? Surely then someone could try and guess or hack into it and then every single teacher in patana could be seen!!!???

  4. The teachers are not the ones we are trying to protect - it is you guys. The homework database and daily notices are only available to those with a patana account so you are protected by that level of security - we just want you to surf safely, that's all :)
